William Kim

My name is William Kim, and I am a freshman at Sierra Canyon High School from Porter Ranch, where I have dedicated myself to the sport of golf and basketball. Starting golf during Covid, I found a deep passion for the game, not just for the competition, but for the lessons it teaches about determination and resilience. Being a 2 sport athlete and basketball being the primary, I am able to improve more quickly than my other fellow golf competitors that only plays golf. During my short golf career, I have faced challenges, whether it was improving my swing or mastering my short game. Each setback has only fueled my desire to improve. I believe that every round of golf is an opportunity to learn, and I approach each match with a commitment to give my best. My scores are improving each week. Teamwork has been a vital part of my journey in basketball. I’ve learned to support my teammates, celebrate their successes, and encourage them during tough times. I am bringing the team aspect to golf as I support by teammates in golf. I carry with me the values of hard work, camaraderie, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. I am excited to see where my passion for golf will take me.
