De'Anthony Hicks Jr

My name is De'Anthony Hicks Jr., and basketball has shaped who I am both on and off the court here in Kansas City, Missouri. Growing up in this city taught me resilience and the value of hard work—qualities that translate directly to my approach to the game. Basketball isn't just about individual talent for me; it's about how five players can move as one unit. I've learned that the best assists come from understanding my teammates' strengths and putting the team's success above personal statistics. Whether I'm diving for a loose ball or staying late for extra shooting practice, I give everything I have because my teammates depend on me, just as I depend on them. The competitive spirit of Kansas City runs through my veins, and I carry that same intensity into every game and practice. I believe in earning respect through dedication and consistency rather than flashy plays. My goal is to continue growing as both a player and leader while contributing to a program that values teamwork and character as much as wins and losses.
