Demitri Schlegel

I'm Demitri Schlegel, class of 2028, from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Growing up in the shadow of Pikes Peak has taught me that reaching new heights requires both mental toughness and consistent effort—lessons I carry onto the field every day. Sports have shaped who I am as a person and teammate. I've learned that success isn't just about individual talent; it's about showing up for your teammates, pushing through challenges, and staying committed when things get difficult. The high altitude training here in Colorado Springs has built my endurance, but more importantly, it's strengthened my resolve to never settle for less than my best. In the classroom and in competition, I approach every challenge with the same dedication. I believe in leading by example, whether that means staying late for extra practice, encouraging a struggling teammate, or maintaining my academic standards. My coaches have taught me that character is built in the moments when no one is watching. As I look toward college, I'm excited to bring my work ethic, team-first mentality, and passion for growth to the next level. I'm ready to compete, contribute, and continue developing both as an athlete and as a person.
