As a basketball player from Lee's Summit, Missouri, set to graduate in 2026, I've learned that success on the court mirrors success in life. Every practice, every game, and every challenge has shaped who I am today. Basketball has taught me the value of perseverance. When shots don't fall or plays break down, I've learned to stay focused and trust the process. The countless hours in the gym have shown me that improvement comes through consistent effort, not shortcuts. Each missed shot is just information for the next one. What I love most about basketball is the team dynamic. No individual can win alone, and I've discovered that my greatest satisfaction comes from making my teammates better. Whether it's setting a screen, making the extra pass, or encouraging someone through a rough game, I've learned that leadership isn't always about scoring the most points. Growing up in Lee's Summit has given me a strong foundation of Midwest values – hard work, humility, and respect for others. As I continue my basketball journey, I carry these principles with me, knowing they'll serve me well both on and off the court.
