Houston Habiger

My name is Houston Habiger, and I'm a basketball player who lives in Lawrence, Kansas, graduating in 2027 from Perry Lecompton High School in Perry, Kansas. Growing up in a town that breathes basketball, I've developed a deep appreciation for the game's fundamentals and the importance of team chemistry. On the court, I pride myself on being a reliable teammate who puts the team's success above individual stats. Whether I'm diving for loose balls or staying late after practice to work on my shooting form, I believe that consistent effort and dedication are what separate good players from great ones. The competitive spirit that runs through Lawrence has shaped my approach to basketball – I play with intensity but always maintain respect for my opponents and teammates. Basketball has taught me valuable lessons about resilience and leadership that extend beyond the court. When we face adversity during games, I've learned to stay composed and encourage my teammates to push through challenging moments together. I'm excited to continue developing my skills at the next level while contributing to a program that values hard work, teamwork, and character.
