Drew Hutchinson

My basketball journey is likely a unique one. My father was the club wrestling coach in my hometown for 10 years, so my winter sport was primarily wrestling. I wrestled for 10 or so years of my life. I was a very successful wrestler, qualifying for the club state tournament 7 years in a row and in my 8th grade season, I was 17-0 with 17 pins. However, as I began to get taller with no signs of slowing down I began to devote more and more of my time to basketball and committed myself to the sport in 8th grade. I have not looked back since. I now love the sport of basketball and it has become my passion. My many years in wrestling has made me into a mentally and physically tough player. I have a good balance with my academic life as well with currently a 3.81 GPA. I'm a coachable, respectful player looking to contribute to a college program. Outside of the court and school, I volunteer at my church and enjoy helping teach kids basketball and football skills at various camps.
