High School Team: Lee’s Summit High School
Strengths: Crawford is a raw postman with potential to be an extremely efficient player at the next level. His wingspan is measured at 7-feet and he’s able to use it for shot blocking and snatching rebounds. Crawford moves very well for his size and goes hard for rebounds. His one-step vertical is impressive (again for his size) that allows him to rebound effectively. His post-up game is strong – he understands how to get leverage on the defender and create passing lanes with his wingspan for his guards. His offensive game is a work in progress, but he’s a coachable player.
Improvement Opportunity: Crawford needs to add some offensive scoring abilities to get significant playing time at the next level. He can score on put backs and does well in transition, but scoring in half court sets is something he can improve on. We’d like to see him use his big frame to do a better job of knocking opposing post players off their desired post-up position.
Projection: Division Two. He has potential to go LM D1 with improved offensive game.
