Activation Email Issues

A couple issues have come up from time to time during the activation process.  Review these items to see if you are experiencing related issues.

1.) Activation Email Never Sent – Did you not get your activation email?

First, check your spam or junk folder to see if the email landed there.

Second, try going back to RecruitLook and logging in.  You’ll be prompted to the below screen of having an ERROR.  However, you can click the link to resend you the activation email.

Screenshot 2015-09-10 15.35.44

2.) Activation Link Invalid – Did you click the activation email link only for it to say the link is invalid or expired?  This is a minor bug in the system, but something that is easily fixed.

Screenshot 2015-09-11 08.52.20

Your activation probably went through, but it just sent you to the wrong screen after clicking the encrypted key.  You don’t need to enter an activation key.  The fix is actually rather easy.

Simply try to login to your account with your username and password.  Your account should work.  If not, contact our Support Team.

Login Questions

Spinning Icon at Login

Are you seeing a spinning icon when you try to login?  You might be getting a spinning icon when you are attempting to login because of 2 issues:

1.) You are using your email address and not your username when logging in. Make sure you are using the username you signed up with!

2.) You have the wrong password and the system hasn’t timed out yet to prompt you to this screen:

Screenshot 2015-09-11 08.55.22

You first want to try logging in with your USERNAME and password.  If that does not work, try resetting your password and logging in again.

Invalid Login

You might be getting an “Invalid Login” message when attempting to login to your RecruitLook account.  The likely issue is one of the reasons below:

1.) You are using your email address and not your username when logging in. Make sure you are using the username you signed up with!

Screenshot 2015-09-11 10.29.17

2.) You have the wrong username.  RecruitLook users must login with the correct username.  If you forgot what your username is, you can simply click the “lost your password” link to retrieve a new password.  In the new password email will be your username.

Too Many Failed Logins

The RecruitLook system will lock you out for 20 minutes if you have too many failed login attempts.  This is a security measure we installed to make sure nobody is trying to login to your account with your username and/or password.  The message you’ll see is this:

Screenshot 2015-09-10 10.11.29

You will need to wait the 20 minutes before attempting to login again.  The best solution would be to just reset your password.
