Ethyn Brown, 2021, PG, SW Illinois Jets Orange. Ethyn has bulked up some this summer and it’s helped his ability to finish at the rim. He’s always been able to get to the rack and finish strong, but now he’s converting at a much higher clip with a much higher degree of difficulty. There aren’t too many guards his size (6’2) that can finish in traffic like he can.
In-addition-to the muscle is an added burst and quickness that he has with the ball in his hands. When going North-South he’s lightning fast…always has been, but now he’s got the burst from triple threat or the hesi-dribble that is making it tough for defenders to stay in front. Ethyn is more of a dribble-drive guard and facilitator but his jumper is falling at a high rate, which is huge for him as now he’s even more difficult to guard. Ethyn has some low major offers right now and his stock should climb following strong play like he’s showing.
