Oswego State University
State University of New York at Oswego, also known as SUNY Oswego and Oswego State, is a public university in the City of Oswego and Town of Oswego, New York, on the shore of Lake Ontario. It has three campuses: historic lakeside campus in Oswego, Metro Center in Syracuse, New York, and Phoenix Center in Phoenix, New York.
With a student body of nearly 8,000 students, we are large enough to offer more than 110 programs of study yet small enough for students to form quality relationships with each other and caring faculty. We stress quality education and experience inside and outside the classroom on our scenic, 690-acre lakeside campus. Students pursue bright futures through programs in our College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Communication, Media and the Arts; and School of Education as well as innovative interdisciplinary programs that cross traditional boundaries. Oswego opens doors to the future with internships and study-abroad opportunities that rate among the highest in the SUNY system.
Our mission is to contribute to the common good by lighting the path to wisdom and empowering women and men to pursue meaningful lives as productive, responsible citizens.
