To receive a two-year education and the training necessary to prepare you to become a skilled member of the workforce in Northern Maine, check out the Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle. Academics offered at the college include over 30 programs of study designed to prepare you for the workforce with up to date skills. If you choose to earn an associate�s degree, you�ll be able to navigate your chosen job market more confidently and be prepared to finish up a four-year program. Students who receive a GPA of 3.5 or higher during a program at Northern Maine may be invited to join Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges. Programs are available in a wide variety of disciplines, like: Accounting Information Systems Business Administration Medical Coding Nursing Emergency Medical Services Early Childhood Education Automotive Collision Repair Wind Power Technology The college offers continuing education courses that cater to everyone. Whether you�re a professional who wants a refresher course or seeking re-certification, the college has development courses for you. The Continuing Education Department also provides corporate training in business, information technology, and health care with the option of being delivered on-site. Northern Maine Community College provides career and transfer programs that lead to associate degrees, diplomas or certificates. The students served have an opportunity to develop as individuals and to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and/or transfer to a senior college or university. The college assists in economic and human resource development by offering programs of study, courses or seminars to employed individuals, specialized training to attract businsss and industry, and various community-interest courses or seminars. The following principles guide the college in fulfilling its mission. 1. Prepare students for employment in business, industry and public service. 2.
