Motlow State provides an extensive curriculum in fields including, but not limited to, nursing/allied health, natural sciences, business, and technology. Students of all ages are encouraged to pursue their fields of interest, including high school students eligible for dual/joint enrollment.

College History
The Motlow family donated 187 acres (0.76 km2) of land on which the college is built in Moore County, Tennessee; subsequently, the college bears the family name�Motlow College. Motlow honors Senator Motlow and his family for their significant contributions. Dr. MaryLou Apple, formerly of Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee, began serving as Motlow�s fifth and current president in 2006. Previous presidents include Dr. Sam Ingram, Dr. Harry Wagner, Dr. A. Frank Glass, and Dr. Arthur L. Walker, Jr.
College Specialty
Motlow State Community College is a public, multi-campus college offering certificates, associate degrees, and flexible learning pathways for early transfer, college preparation, and workforce training. Students are prepared for employment, career advancement, and four-year college or university transfer. The College serves an eleven-county area comprised of full-time, part-time, traditional, and non-traditional age students from diverse socio-economic populations with disparate educational and cultural backgrounds. The College offers high quality accredited educational programs and a variety of support services emphasizing and promoting student success.
