Get familiar with the name P.J. Dozier, the 6’6” playmaking guard out of Columbia, SC. You’ll be hearing it a lot in the coming months. The coveted four-star guard narrowed his final list of schools earlier this month to Michigan, Louisville, North Carolina, Georgetown, and South Carolina. Those schools beat out other schools recruiting Dozier such as Kansas, Ohio State, and Wake Forest.
Dozier has also set official dates with each school through the fall semester. He will visit Michigan on September 26th, Louisville on October 3rd, Georgetown on October 7th, North Carolina on October 24th and South Carolina on October 31st.
Future Hall of Fame coaches Roy Williams of UNC and Rick Pitino of Louisville have personally been leading their schools’ respective recruiting efforts with Dozier and have kept in consistent communication with the youngster. South Carolina could be a dark horse in the running for Dozier with a home state allegiance plus both his father, Perry Sr., and uncle, Terry, played for the Gamecocks.
