Safety Issues and Important Information:
We know you are busy having fun on RecruitLook, but take some time and look over this important information. We are thrilled to have you as a member and want to help each and every one of you with athletic recruiting, but besides that our number one goal is keeping our members safe from the dangers of online communicating. Here are some helpful tips to protect your identity and to make your stay at RecruitLook a safe one.
Personal Information:
Do not post personal information for online predators to steal. This includes social security number, credit card numbers, email addresses, home address, phone numbers, and your password. Watch what you say in IM chats and comments left on your friend's pages. Don't discuss meeting times and locations for other parties to see. Keep that private! Do not give out your password to anyone. Make your password something only you would remember. If for any reason you think someone stole your password change it immediately. Login as your username and password, and go to the "my account" section. Then click on the settings tab and choose account settings.
Unknown Members:
Always know the other member who is requesting to be your friend. One of the cool features about RecruitLook is adding new friends and communicating with them. However, if you do not know the individual requesting to be your friend they might be trying to steal your information. Be cautious of new friend requests and report to the RecruitLook staff any suspicious behavior. staff@recruitlook.com

Inappropriate Activity:
Becoming a member means you agree to our Terms of Use. In that policy you can read about the content and videos that are allowed on RecruitLook. Our staff monitors the site to the best of our ability for inappropriate activity. However, we cannot review all the activities that our members are doing. Therefore, we urge all members to report inappropriate content and videos to our staff. Only our staff will know who is reporting inappropriate activity. The RecruitLook staff will review the member's profile, and their activity to see if it is classified as inappropriate. Then if deemed necessary corrective action will be taken. We will take down inappropriate videos, photos, and content and issue a warning. We take this issue very seriously, therefore; if the activity continues we have the right to revoke your membership.
Fraudulent Business:
RecruitLook is used as online sports community that helps athletes and coaches come together. This is not a website to promote business practices outside what RecruitLook will allow. RecruitLook users must be very cautious with fraudulent business activities. Computer hackers are always scheming to steal your personal information. The most common used tactic is called phishing. It is an attempt to criminally steal personal information like, passwords, credit cards, and usernames. Some of the well known phishing schemes are: phishers posing as RecruitLook staff members asking you verify account and billing information by typing in your password and credit card. RecruitLook will never ask for you to verify your account with personal information. Another tactic is posting links to fraudulent businesses. Do not click on website links left in your comment section, message box, or anywhere else phishers can post them. These links are usually to fake websites that require you to input personal information. Another attempt for phishers to acquire information is through emails. RecruitLook ask for your email when signing up only for our e-newsletter. We do not and will not pass your email address on to any other party. So monitor your emails and delete those from unknown businesses and individuals.
We recommend you take some precautionary measures against phishing. First, make sure your computer has some sort of spyware and virus protection. These are excellent safety measures to protect yourself and your computer from harmful activities. Next, visit a website like www.antiphishing.org and learn more about phishing and how to protect yourself. Lastly, always be careful when operating in an online community. If for any reason you feel your personal information is being targeted contact the RecruitLook staff immediately. We will review any and all fraudulent business activity and take corrective actions to try and prevent it in the future.
